Rubedo is part of Alchemy of the Self, a series inspired by the alchemical process and its parallels to C. G. Jung’s concept of individuation.
 

Rather than seeing transformation as a linear path toward a perfected self, I understand it as a process that moves in spirals. We return to our shadows, contradictions and inner conflicts again and again — each time with the possibility of meeting them differently.

If Nigredo represents the encounter with what has been hidden or rejected, Rubedo explores what can emerge through its integration.
 

The figure rests within an abundance of color, light and movement. Nothing has been erased or polished away. Opposing qualities remain present: intensity and stillness, vulnerability and strength, darkness and luminosity.
Yet they no longer need to cancel each other out.
 

Rubedo is not about becoming perfect. It is about becoming whole.

A raw, embodied kind of inner stillness — not created by overcoming parts of the self, but by allowing more of them to belong.
